At-home anti-ageing routine — for mature, dry and dehydrated skin
This routine is the at-home extension of your professional treatment. The in-salon peel boosts cell renewal; it is your daily routine that determines how much of this benefit remains three weeks later. Without a follow-up routine at home, the results of a course of treatment are almost entirely lost.
KART identifies four types of mature skin. The difference between them lies neither in cleansing, nor in eye care, nor in sun protection — it comes down to just two factors: the texture of the cream and whether or not weekly exfoliation is included.
Mature skin in need of hydration — hyaluronic serum followed by Meso Hydra Cream in the morning, a hydrating mask once or twice a week.
Very dry mature skin — Supreme Serum, Day Repair in the morning, Night Repair in the evening, Eye Shield on the eyelids.
Sensitive mature skin or skin with rosacea — Lactic Emulsion 24H instead of rich textures, and no exfoliation.
Normal to oily mature skin — Exfol Lotion twice a week and a light cream, such as Lactic Emulsion or VitaC.
Steps common to all four skin types: remove make-up in the evening, use a toner after every cleanse, apply serum before your cream, use an eye cream morning and evening, and apply sun protection every morning.

In the evening, remove make-up using micellar water on a cotton pad, then cleanse with Meso Clear soap and rinse with lukewarm water. In the morning, cleansing alone is sufficient.
For normal to oily mature skin, replace Meso Clear with Mousse Pureté or pomegranate soap. Never skip removing your make-up in the evening: foundation left on overnight blocks cell repair, which takes place whilst you sleep.

Soak a cotton pad with Rehydrating Tonic and sweep it over the face, neck and décolletage. Do not rinse; apply the serum whilst the skin is still damp.
The toner is not just a cosmetic step: it restores the skin’s pH to its physiological level after cleansing. And when applied to skin that is still damp, the hyaluronic acid in the serum locks in moisture rather than drawing it from the deeper layers.

Apply a few drops of Hyaluronic Acid 3D to damp skin, morning and evening. For very dehydrated skin, use the Meso Intensive Serum; for very dry, mature skin, use the Supreme Serum from the Timeless range.
It is the serum, not the cream, that delivers the active ingredients — the cream comes afterwards to seal them in. Reversing the order or skipping the serum is like moisturising the surface without making any difference at a deeper level.

Choose according to your skin type: Meso Hydra Cream for mature skin in need of hydration, Day Repair for very dry skin, Lactic Emulsion 24H for sensitive skin or skin prone to rosacea, VitaC Sebum Control for mature skin prone to oiliness.
Use just one cream at a time. Layering two rich textures does not double the hydration: it overloads the skin, makes make-up sit poorly and means you’re using two products instead of one.

For very dry skin, apply Night Repair in the evening instead of your day cream. For mature combination to dry skin, Age Control is also suitable as an evening treatment.
Night-time is when the skin repairs itself: rich textures are better tolerated at this time and there is no need to worry about make-up staying in place. For other skin types, simply reapplying your day cream is sufficient.

Apply a drop of Eye Tech Serum to the orbital bone and pat gently with the tip of your ring finger without stretching the eyelid, then apply Meso Eye Lift if necessary. On very dry skin, finish with Eye Shield.
The skin on the eyelid is three to five times thinner than that on the cheek and has almost no sebaceous glands: it is the first to become dehydrated and the first to show wrinkles. A face cream is not enough for this area, and rich textures can cause puffiness.

Apply the Mega Moist Mask to clean skin, leave on, then remove any excess. For very dry, mature skin, opt for the Vitality Mask from the Timeless range.
The mask is not a quick fix but a maintenance treatment: use once a week under normal circumstances, twice a week during a course of exfoliation or in winter, when central heating dries out the skin faster than it can regenerate.

Twice a week, in the evening, soak a cotton pad with Exfol Lotion and wipe over the face, avoiding the eye area. Do not rinse. Do not use on the same evening as a face mask.
This step applies to only one of the four skin types. On dry, sensitive or rosacea-prone skin, it is counterproductive: it strips away an already insufficient hydrolipidic film. If in doubt, do without it.

Apply sun protection as the final step in your morning routine, before applying make-up, even in winter and on overcast days.
Sun exposure is responsible for most of the visible ageing of the skin, and after a course of chemical peels, it causes precisely the dark spots that the treatment was intended to remove. An anti-ageing routine that does not include daily SPF works against itself.
