Basic procedure for a Russian manicure without nail varnish

Dry skin
Basic protocol for a Russian manicure without the application of nail varnish. This protocol covers the essential steps for preparing the nail plate and carefully treating the cuticles, without applying nail varnish. It forms the basis of the treatment, enabling controlled cleaning, the removal of keratinised tissue and optimal preparation of the nail.
Protocol Steps (7)
Disinfect the client’s hands and those of the practitioner (including gloves) using a suitable antiseptic. This step is essential to reduce the risk of contamination and ensure optimal hygiene conditions before the treatment begins.
File the free edge of the nail to give it the desired shape, using fine-grit files suitable for natural nails. Use single-use files, systems with a sterilisable base, or files that can be disinfected. The professional can choose the solution best suited to their practice.
Start by gently pushing back the cuticle using a cuticle pusher or a wooden stick, depending on the technician’s preference. Choose the tool best suited to this task.
Apply KART cuticle remover to the cuticle area to soften the keratinised tissue. Gently push back the cuticle using a cuticle pusher to remove the overhang from the nail plate. Choose the product best suited to your salon.
Moisten the area to activate the KART Cuticle Remover, then use a suitable tool to remove the softened cuticle. Choose the tool best suited to this task.
After removing the cuticle, apply a nourishing oil to moisturise and protect the treated area.
Finish the treatment by applying cream to your hands and massaging them, to moisturise the skin and complete the treatment.
