Top Line waxing — face and upper lip
The face is unforgiving when it comes to imperfections: the skin there is thin, the area is highly visible, and the hairs are often short and light in colour. In this case, the most suitable solution is pull-off wax, as it is applied without strips, at a low temperature, and does not require the thin skin to be stretched.
This guide describes the procedure for removing hair above the upper lip, on the chin and between the eyebrows using the Top Line range, a synthetic wax with a light texture, specially designed for sensitive skin.
Clean the upper lip, chin or the area between the eyebrows with a gentle lotion, then mentally trace the outline before heating the wax. On the face, it is not possible to correct mistakes afterwards: a poorly drawn line will remain visible for three weeks.
Pre-wax Aloe Vera Lotion – Italwax, 100 ml
A thin layer, not too thick: too much talcum powder prevents the wax from adhering to the finest hairs. On the face, the skin is thinner: the aim is to isolate the skin, not to cover it.

Apply a thicker layer than that used with wax strips, following the direction of hair growth, and form a small bead at the end to make removal easier. Strip wax works at a low temperature — around 40 to 42 °C — and should be matt and elastic, but under no circumstances should it be runny.

Wait until the wax loses its shine and starts to peel away slightly at the edges. Stretch the skin taut with two fingers and, in one swift movement, remove the wax close to the skin, against the direction of hair growth. If the wax is removed too early, the hairs will snap; if it is removed too late, the wax will crumble.

Apply the gel to the affected area without massaging it in. Visible redness on the face is a cause for concern for the client: the act of applying the treatment is just as important as its actual effect.
