Nail care during a pedicure – the KART method

Hyperkeratosis
Mycosis
Calluses
Ingrown nail
Paronychia

This protocol forms part of a pedicure treatment, following the preparation and cleaning of the foot. It describes the stages of nail plate treatment according to the KART method, whilst respecting the structure of the nail.

Protocol Steps (5)

Trim and file the nail, taking care to preserve its structure and direction of growth.

Gently push back the cuticle to expose the nail plate.

Apply a suitable product to your cuticles to soften the skin and make the treatment easier.

Remove any product residue from the nail plate, then gently remove the cuticle and the pterygium using a suitable tool.

Clean the nail plate with water (using a spray bottle) to remove any product residue before the finishing stage.
